Ability Manifestation Mental Anomalies (or AMMA) are a psychological condition that may affect specials following the acquisition of an ability. The term was originally coined by Everett Gunn, a clinical psychologist who worked for Company (though he originally called them disorders rather than anomalies). Symptoms vary between patients and include, but are not limited to, multiple-personality disorders, synesthesia, depression and psychosis. Notable victims include Niki Sanders and Emma Coolidge.
Some examples of these disorders can be found below:
- Aura Absorption is a disorder associated with DNA Absorption, wherein an alternate with the power to absorb genetic material sees lights surrounding others that appear to be associated with emotions.
- Enhanced Synesthesia is a disorder associated with Audiokinesis, allowing the alternate to percieve sounds as colors due to crossed neural pathways in the brain.
